Aakanksha Gade was born and raised in Maharashtra within a highly supportive academic household that deeply valued the fine arts. Though naturally introverted as a child, she discovered her medium of self-expression during her college years after unexpectedly landing a replacement role in a one-act play.

To further refine her creative alignment and physical grace, she pursued rigorous classical training in Bharatanatyam under Dr. Gauri Joshi Ponkshe. This background in classical dance taught her the patience, repetition, and deep sincerity that would later become the core foundation of her screen acting career.

Her professional artistic journey took a major leap in 2011 when she began collaborating with iconic theater maven Makarand Deshpande at the legendary Prithvi Theatre.

For over a decade, Aakanksha headlined multiple children’s plays, mime acts, and complex full-length theatrical productions in both Hindi and Marathi. Her raw dedication eventually paved her way into mainstream media, making an impression with a cameo in Gauri Shinde’s Dear Zindagi (2016). She subsequently scaled her visibility into the booming Over-The-Top (OTT) segment with ZEE5’s journalism thriller series The Broken News and remains an active, respected presence in Marathi television and parallel streaming projects.
